Get ready to blog allCanes-style...
Hey Everyone - Chris Bello here of allCanes. Getting ready to kick off the Official allCanes.com blog in the coming days.As some of you may or may not know, I've covered Hurricanes Football online since 1996 when I was in college and Grassy.com (Bryan Knoll) gave me the opportunity to write for their site. I did so until 2004 when we revamped allCanes.com and I started covering the Canes for our site, though I still did the occasional piece for CanesTime Magazine.
Since then I've been covering Hurricanes Football for allCanes.com with that same 'fan on the street' approach I tried to bring to CanesTime.
Currently I am also the Director of Internet Sales for allCanes.com and am doing all I can too help make us the #1 Canes Shop Online. Any thoughts on how we can do that - please email chris@allCanes.com.
I've run my own blog for the past few years now but put it on ice as I haven't had time to update it.
Instead I've been hired to help out with my PGA Tour bud's site and his blog at PatPerezGolf.com. Between that and allCanes.com, I'm definitely excited about these new assignments.
There will be a lot of Hurricane sports-related themes here as well as all info regarding new products, sales, specials or even just informative stuff like which Miami players or coaches dropped by allCanes this week. For those of you who have been shopping with allCanes.com for a while, you'll remember the site feature 'Harry's Corner' where our general manager Harry Rothwell would chime in from time to time about what was going on in store. That is a feature we'll try to bring back in some way with this blog.
I'm definitely not looking to rival the likes of Mr. Omar Kelly or other local writers who are closer to the program on a day to day basis. I know my limitations. This is just merely another way for us at allCanes.com to communicate with our customers and the loyal University of Miami fan base.
Please feel free to comment, ask questions and use this as a forum to discuss the Canes, All we ask is that you keep it clean. Many message boards turn into places to vent and complain. We don't want any of that venom here. The U is our family. We don't want any negativity regarding the University of Miami coaches, players, administration and fans past. There's already enough places online to participate in that.
Thanks for tuning in. More to come over the next few days, weeks, months and hopefully years.
Go Canes,
Chris Bello
