Harry chimes in about spring game...

A special thanks to everyone who dropped by over the weekend for our sale.

Hurricane Football was definitely in the air - you could feel it. Current and former players dropped by, the new flat screen TVs were pumping out classic game footage and everyone was either on their to or headed home from the Orange Bowl. Only four months until Florida State...

Those in store this weekend got a chance to chat with former Canes' RB James Jackson as he was in town shopping. Darryl Sharpton's familym Kirby Freeman's folks and the Morse family (not sporting a mohawk like Derrick) dropped in as well to pick up some of the newest Canes gear.

There was also a future recruit in from Georgia with his coach as they were in town to watch the scrimmage.

The spring game was similar to what we've seen in years past - the defense looks ready to roll and the offense sputtered a bit. I guess that's what happens when as an offense you face one of the nation's best defenses on a daily basis. Strength coach Andreu Swasey will get our kids stronger, faster and better. Lots of time to pull things together before the opener. As we know, the spring game always brings out basic play calling. You can't really simulate the intensity we'll see from these kids on any given Saturday.

Aside from all the spring football action, we are also gearing up for another allCanes catalog and we need to find Miss allCanes for 2006. Any of you ladies feel you have what it takes? Fellas, do you know any gals who would look great on the cover of our catalog? If so, send the photos to models@allCanes.com and we'll check out all entries.

We're aiming for another early June photoshoot - so make sure to get those entries in early if you truly want to be considered.

I got to chat with Lamar Thomas a bit at the spring game and he's already thrown his name in the hat for the catalog. I had to explain to him that we needed a Miss allCanes for the cover, but that we'd be thrilled to feature him inside the catalog.
