Harry's Corner... model search, Canes Baseball & more

Lots going on at allCanes this week - as well as with Miami Athletics.

> Congrats to our Miami Baseball team as well as the Lady Canes Tennis team. Baseball heads to Nebraska for this week's regional action. It's been somewhat of an off year, but it's a whole new season come Friday. Things are wide open and looking forward to seeing how far we can take this thing. Even in down season, the Canes extended their streak to 34 straight post season appearances. Another good recruiting class is in the cards (probation era has come to an end) and Miami will be back in the Omaha mix very soon.

As for the Lady Canes, an impressive showing against Stanford in the Women's Tennis finals. No matter what sport, it's always a U thing.


> Our Miss allCanes Contest is underway and we have it narrowed down to about 10 contestants. We'll have the online voting next week. Please check back. Hands down, this is the best group we've ever assembled.

We made sure to get a lot of Lady Canes in there this year - be it current students or recent alum. We'll post some of the pics very soon, so get a feel for which girl you think will best represent allCanes and get your votes in next week!


> Father's Day is around the corner and we'll be sending out our email blast in the coming days. Stay tuned. > Last but not least, the football team is gearing up for the season opener against Florida State on Labor Day. Everyone I've spoken with (players and coaches) have mentioned how hard Coach Swasey is working these kids in the weight room this year. allCanes' dear friend and former Cane WR Andre King has also been spotted working out with the team and helping the kids out. Three months from kickoff and our kids are already talking about the Seminoles. No rest for the weary!
