Miami Hurricanes Bernie Kosar
Hard to think of someone who embodies UM football any more than Miami
Hurricanes Bernie Kosar. Bernie helped lead Miami to their first National
Championship in 1983 and he has remained close with the program ever since.
Even though he is from Ohio, it’s the Miami Hurricanes Bernie Kosar
that most in South Florida remember.
Kosar still comes back to the University of Miami and works
with the younger quarterbacks. He was very close to former Cane Ken Dorsey and
now has a great rapport with Brock Berlin. Miami Hurricanes Bernie Kosar was
also a mentor to guys like Ryan Clement and Scott Covington.
Miami Hurricanes Bernie
Kosar is on the sidelines for so many big games at the Orange Bowl. Rooting
on the team, hi-fiving other UM greats like Jim Kelly or Michael Irvin. You
name it – and Miami Hurricanes Bernie Kosar is “the
man” when it comes to game day. His presence can be felt everywhere in
Coral Gables. He even recently opened Bernie’s Steakhouse which is very
close to allCanes – as well as the University of Miami campus.
When one thinks Miami
Hurricanes Bernie Kosar – they are thinking of possibly one of the
greatest passers in UM history.
